In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I wanted to designate a post to expressing some of my gratitude. First and foremost, I’m so thankful for my readers. Your comments, emails, and likes mean the world to me. It’s been incredibly rewarding to share my experiences with you, and your support has given me the motivation to keep adventuring and documenting all my highs, lows, and in-betweens. I initially had my doubts about the importance of this blog, but I was clearly wrong. This blog has become my catharsis, and none of this would be possible without you, so once again, thank you.
I also want to explicitly thank everyone who sent me cards and gifts in my care package. It was definitely unexpected, but greatly appreciated. Your words of encouragement helped cure me of my doubts here and reassured me that my purpose matters. It was a great pick-me-up and supplied me even more motivation to keep going. Lastly, I want to explicitly thank the students who wrote to me from Granville Central High School. Your advice on how to be a better teacher was extremely helpful and has caused me to think more deeply about the kind of person I want to be in the classroom. Reading through your cards had me laughing, smiling, and full of joy. Thank you.
I’ll be posting my normal weekly report this weekend, so stay tuned for an update about this week’s adventures. Have a happy and peaceful Thanksgiving, everyone.
